Itinerary
- Early morning departure from your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
- Drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m).
- Stop at the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
- Lunch in or near Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.”
- Continue south through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley, lined with palm groves and traditional Berber villages.
- Arrive in Zagora Desert in the late afternoon.
- Enjoy a camel ride at sunset into the desert.
- Dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp or local guesthouse under the stars.
