Itinerary
- Arrive at Tangier airport or port and drive through the scenic Rif Mountains.
- Settle into your accommodation in Chefchaouen, the "Blue Pearl," and spend the afternoon and evening exploring the charming blue and white alleyways.
- After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen and head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Visit Meknes, another imperial city, to see its historical monuments.
- Arrive in Fes by the evening and check into your riad.
- A full day dedicated to a guided tour of the ancient medina of Fes, including the famous Chouara tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine University, and the Royal Palace gates.
- Depart Fes and travel towards the Sahara Desert. Stop at Ifrane, known as "Morocco's Switzerland," and pass through the cedar forest near Azrou to see Barbary macaques.
- Continue through the stunning Ziz Valley to Merzouga, where you'll begin your camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, enjoying dinner and Berber music under the stars.
- Wake up early for a desert sunrise before returning to the village by camel.
- Drive to the impressive Todra Gorges, a massive canyon where you can hike along the river.
- Continue to the Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
- Travel along the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," passing through the Valley of Roses.
- Continue to Ouarzazate (home to film studios) and visit the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site used as a filming location.
- Overnight stay in Ait Benhaddou.
- Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the panoramic Tizi n'Tichka pass.
- Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check into your riad.
